Car Wash
If you own a car, at some point in time it is going to get dirty and you are going to take it to the car wash. Sometimes, the car wash is a fully automated, full service car wash where you just pull up and turn your car over to the car wash attendant and then just pick it up at the other end all shiny and clean. And sometimes the car wash is a self-service car wash where you have to do all the scrubbing and rinsing yourself. What type of car wash you use can be a function of time, availability and/or money.
The full service car wash is the most expensive of your two car wash options. There are many levels of service at this type of car wash, but usually, the basic price is somewhere around ten dollars. At this type of car wash, you can add on extra services to the basic wash if you wish to. And this can take the cost up to twenty or twenty five dollars and that is not counting any special detailing services that the car wash might offer. Car detailing is a whole other topic. Plus at this type of car wash, they have many things to tempt you into spending more money than just the car wash alone.
You always have a walk through hallway with large glass windows that allow you to watch your car going through the car wash. So after you peer at your car moving by on a conveyor belt, you go into the lobby where you can find all sorts of impulse items you can spend you money on. There will be snacks of various types and gadgets for your car. You can probably buy new floor mats assorted mirrors, bottles of different scented sprays and hanging scented decorations. There will be a cashier there to take your payment for the car wash and any items you are attracted to and want to purchase.
You might want to consider one of those deodorizers since you never know how offensive the attendants might be who were inside your car, wiping the dash or spritzing your windows. There are other possibilities for purchase too. Often there will be a line of greeting cards, little decorator items, inspirational items, you name it and the local car wash variety shop might carry it. If it is junk food snacks, like candy or chips, or if it is some little trinket for your car, or even if it is something the car was owner thought would be cute or handy, you might find it at the car wash.
And don’t forget to tip the workers on your way out…
